RANTAU: The Bandung Legacy, Solidarity, and Feminist Resistance

Lantai 2-KONTENG | YouTube

This panel explores the intersections between the 1955 Bandung Conference, transnational solidarity, and feminist resistance in the Global South.

While Bandung is widely celebrated as a landmark moment for Third World solidarity, the parallel history of feminist anti-imperialist organizing—outside dominant Western paradigms—remains underexplored.

This panel will critically reflect on these intertwined histories and imagine future directions for feminist transnational solidarity that challenge colonialism, capitalism, and patriarchy.

How might we reclaim Bandung—not as a static legacy, but as a living process—to envision a transformative, feminist resistance?
